My 2nd Book Blog

11/28

The book that I had read was called “Middle School The worst years of my Life” by James Patterson and Chris Tebbetts. The genre of this book is a realistic fiction book.

This book is about a kid named Rafe Khatchadorian who moved to the town of Hills Village middle school with his buddy Leo. There they do a game called Operation Rafe where he tries to break all the rules in the HVS school of conduct. My favorite part of the Book is when Rafe and his mom were walking in the school and he saw Miller and Miller said “Hey Khatchadorian” You get my package?” there he went away from his mom and began having a fight with him.

The main character Rafe is lonely because he has this imaginary friend who is Leo. I know this because in chapter (74page 273) is states that But we weee both pretty little when he died. Yet he does all of these bad things because he has no friends at all.

I liked the book because it was very funny and it is also very relatable to people who have been in middle school or who are in middle school. I would recommend this book because it is a blast. It is very funny and exhilarating. The theme of this book is that “Whatever goes around comes around to haunt you.”

My book blog

1/18

The title of the book I read is called Bone out from Boneville. The author is Jeff Smith and the genre is a fiction book.

The book is about three bones,Phoney,Fone, and Smiley Bone run away from their town because Phoney Bone had did many bad things as a mayor and so the people kicked them out. They get into a valley where locusts come and now they become separated.  My favorite part is that when Phoney Bone said to the Grandma of Thorn that he did not want to ride her stinking cows. “Then the Grandma said that she was gonna tear this little fella apart from the inside out.”

Fone Bone is observant.  I know this because when they got lost in the valley he had saw Smiley Bone cigar  butt. And then kept finding more and more of Smileys cigar butts and he did that he was able to find people.

I liked the book because it was funny. I would recommend this book to a friend because it is very hilarious and spooky which you can share with others. This book is interesting because even though they are cousins all have totally different personalities which makes esqusite and cool to read. The lesson I had learned is wheat ever goes around come around.

I had gooten It from Best Buy. And when I saw it Christmas morning I was so happy that I thought I was going to flipped out. Then when I had press the power on button adrenaline was pumping through my body. There after I had bought many games like Dark Souls, Call of Duty and also Destiny. I love my Xbox One because it represents how I love to play video games. It is important because  I can  buy games online and I can do many other things too with the Xbox One. I love my Xbox One.

Book/movie comparison

The book and the movie have many similarities. They both show the same way of how Dally acts. He acts mean, gangster, tough. Johnny acts like the puppy just like in the book. He is scared like when he told Dally to stop he went pale and really white. The movie also shows some thing that he did in the book was that Johnny stabbing the Soc. He went and stabbed him to save Ponyboy. In conclusion, the book and the movie have many similarities.

The book and the movie have many differences. One difference is that the book said that they wear long hair in the beginning but in the movie I saw short hair for both sides. Another difference is that the book talked about Ponyboy getting beat in the beginning after the movie he watched. The movie went straight to when to Dally talking to Cherry Valance while watching the movie. The final difference is that I saw Darry and qhe did not that strong like until the book they said it liked he was really strong.

I think the movie adaptation stayed true to the novel because it had showed the same surrounding as if they are a bad neighborhood like ElmWood. They also show how their cars back then and the environment. The adaptation changed from the book to the novel because Johnny was skinny in the book but in the movie he was really chubby. Another adaptation that was different was that Darry had slapped Ponyboy in the face in the book but in the movie Darry pushed Ponyboy.  I think the director and actor did do a good job delivering the novel’s messages because it had told in a way to be able to understand.

Outsiders to Herd Behavior connections

The second text that I had did was an article called Herd Behavior.   The common theme between both is to stay together in any danger.  In the informational text called “Herd Behavior” paragraph 2 ”When herd behavior sets in, an individual person’s judgment and opinion-forming process shuts down as he or she automatically follows the group’s movement and behavior. “This connects to the Outsiders theme by it shows how the to be together when there is any danger like before the rumble Ponyboy had recognized that we should not be fighting and instead paying attention about Johnny because he was hurt but when the Socs came he automatically decided to fight them forgetting about what he thinking about. Another quote from the informational text Herd Behavior At paragraph 3 states “Herd behavior in humans is frequently observed at times of danger and panic; for example, a fire in a building often causes herd behavior, with people often suspending their individual reasoning and fleeing together in a pack.”This connects to the theme of the Outsiders because it shows how the even in danger they work together and come together as if they are in a group. There was a part where a building was on fire and Ponyboy saw this and he and Johnny walked in to get the children stuck in the fire and they finally got help from Dally .The connection between the outsiders and the article Herd Behavior is the theme which is to stay together. I thought that the outsiders and the Herd Behavior had many similarities to connect to the theme.
